Autumn Sun 03:49
AUTUMN SUN - Lyrics by Edward Rogers Music by J-F Vergel Verse 1 Still in love with this time of year. Remember innocence with fear. Too much to learn and get done. First romance awakened – it was fun. Young and foolish we begun Facing life with no game plan. Left alone… Under the Autumn sun. Verse 2 Leaves fell early that year. The breeze of September drew you near. Coolness of the afternoon you’d appear; Full of life – no concerns or fears. I pushed too hard… You broke away Afraid of love from that day. Left alone… Under the Autumn sun Chorus Bright, yellow rays of sun Radiate a new life that’s just begun. Time to grow up – childhood’s done. Letting go – moving on. Innocence fades. One season. Learning life… So shaken. All that’s left is the Autumn sun Verse 3 The cruelness of the chill; Autumn’s here. Crying in the rain tears disappear. Time to grow up… Take first steps Of a new life that can be so complex. Passion lost under the Autumn sun Didn’t lead to love, only hurt someone. Life lessons had begun… Under the Autumn Sun. Chorus Bright, yellow rays of sun Radiate a new life that’s just begun. Time to grow up – childhood’s done. Letting go – moving on. Innocence fades. One season. Learning life… So shaken. All that’s left is the Autumn sun Verse 4 Still in love with this time of year. Remember innocence mixed with total fear. Too much to learn and get done. First romance awakened – it was fun. Young and foolish we begun Facing life with no game plan. Left alone… Under the Autumn sun with you. Under the Autumn sun with you. Oh yea! Under the Autumn sun. Ooo ooo oo oo. Under the Autumn sun. ©2014 Vagabond Hearts ~ All rights reserved.

BRIDGE OF SIGHS Lyrics by Edward Rogers Music by J-F Vergel VERSE 1 Guilty ones get left behind. Grow up slowly as the world goes blind. Some in jail… still confined. Most with sorrow, no peace of mind. Oh, welcome to my bridge of sighs. How I wish I could relive my life. VERSE 2 One day’s heroes, tomorrow’s used toys. A big pawn game that lies destroys. Ones with words. The easy prey. Change anything you tell them to say. Oh, welcome to my bridge of sighs. I wish I could relive my life. CHORUS Don’t want the fear of leaving unknown. No one remembers, it remains untold. A small sign to show the way That you know truth didn’t have its day. Leave a mark to remember me; A tiny nick in history To let you know I was here. Celebrate my life with a tear. VERSE 3 Easy light. Easy prey. Fast way to solve a mystery. The view from here… Too small to see. Take my last steps of liberty. Oh, welcome to my bridge of sighs. How I wish I could retell my life. CHORUS Don’t want the fear of leaving unknown. No one remembered, it remains untold. Some small mark to show the way That you know truth didn’t have its day. Please name a star to remember me… A moment in history To let you know I was here. Celebrate my life with a tear. VERSE 4 One last view from the bridge of sighs. A mask of death awaits the other side. Last tale to tell… One song to sing As the executioner, he takes his swing. Welcome to my bridge of sighs As you lead me to the guilty line. Innocence would reveal the truth declined. Oh, welcome to my bridge of sighs. © 2014 Vagabond Hearts ~ ll rights reserved

Reckless 03:29
RECKLESS Lyrics by Edward Rogers Music by J-F Vergel VERSE 1 I was careless - let my world slip by. Burnt too many candles waiting for the next alibi. Led a golden life – never knew what side was up. Sometimes good, sometimes so bad. Two Jokers in a pack. The Devil found a way to pay me back. Knew when to plan his attack. Got all dressed up in black. In a game I didn’t know what side was up. He just laughed and he drank from a champagne cup. VERSE 2 Didn’t expect my world to fade away. Wasn’t aware of how fast he could betray. Nothing left… but wait for him to make his play. But I knew results could only go his way. He controlled the wheel come judgment day. Counted all the cards… Results could only go one way. No turning back; too late to pray. His power was on full display. CHORUS Cause I’ve been reckless - reckless all my life. Cause I’ve been reckless - cuts just like a knife. Cause I’ve been reckless - reckless all my life. Cause I’ve been reckless - cuts with a knife. VERSE 3 Now I’m just sitting here thinking I was child’s play. Still didn’t know what to do cause I really lost the way. Should have known better than to stray Cause the Devil knew it was gonna be his very good day. Two Jokers in a pack. The Devil found a way to pay me back. Knew how to plan his attack. Got dressed up all - all in black. In a game I didn’t know my time was up. Yeah. He just laughed and he drank from his champagne cup. CHORUS Cause I’ve been reckless - reckless all my life. Cause I’ve been reckless - cuts just like a knife. Cause I’ve been reckless - reckless all my life. Cause I’ve been reckless – cutting me with a knife. ©2014 Vagabond Hearts ~ All rights reserved

Angel Share 03:02
ANGEL SHARE Lyrics by Edward Rogers Music by J-F Vergel VERSE 1 I want a part of your angel share. Not what you say is lost to the air. Want all of your unclaimed treasure. All gain, my pleasure. Gets so dark when it’s left too long. Desires grow so strong. Want to feel your taste on my lips. Not a fool on a sinking ship. No wonder Angels always fly. That taste that’s put aside. One good reason to go to Heaven… You don’t have to deal with the Devil. If you play it right you can still be a rebel. Push your foot down on the pedal. Part of your Angel share without a care. CHORUS Angel share! Angel share! It’s all I care about when you’re not there. What you lose compared to what you gain. Taste for love not, love in vain. VERSE 2 I want a part of your angel share With a song, a drink and not a care. I want to touch your unclaimed treasure. My gain. My pleasure. Gets so dark if it’s left too long. While there, desires grow strong. Want to feel your taste on my lips. Not a fool on a sinking ship. Ghost vessels lay in the bay of Hell… None left who can kiss or tell. Ring, ring! The death knell To wreak, steal and rebel. Not a place for an open grave. Make us your eternal slave. Never want to go to Hell. Never want to ring that bell. CHORUS Angel share! Angel share! It’s all I care about when you’re not there. What you lose compared to what you gain. Taste for love, not love in vain. ©2014 Vagabond Hearts ~ All rights reserved

AGE OF REASON Lyrics by Edward Rogers Music by J-F Vergel Age of reason - a place I don’t know. Off to a new world - a chance I could grow. You were my lover. We decided to go. Give my life to you. I want you to know. Old and new together, in a place in time. Rhythm and puzzles I need to define. Build a Yankee Diner… It was mine. New life together in a home made of pine Olde country fades as the past rusts away. Olde painted new, slowly grows… so frayed. Present pushes forward swept in decay. Lost time in the mist of a cold winter’s day. Olde Yankee diner – past century. Paint chips peeling trying to delay. Changes forgotten in a stroke of history. Hopes fade as they all betray Age of reason - I had my day Future’s here no time for yesterday. ©2014 Vagabond Hearts ~ All rights reserved

about

Two Jokers In A Pack is the debut EP (extended play) from New York City based, Vagabond Hearts.

The group was formed by songwriters, guitarist, J-F Vergel, and singer, Edward Rogers. Vergel and Rogers initially wrote music and lyrics via email and as the songs took shape they met in Rogers' home studio in the East Village. From the large trove of songs they wrote they picked those that were the most representative of Vagabond Hearts to record. Vergel and Rogers recruited guitarist/producer, Don Piper, and drummer/percussionist, Boris Kinberg to form the nucleus of Vagabond Hearts.

Other musicians who have contributed to the EP are:
Sal Maida (Roxy Music, Sparks, Cracker) on bass
Wayne Cobham (Ray Charles, Ben E. King, Michael Jackson) on trumpet
Matt Trowbridge (Robbers on High Street, Twinstar, Amanda Thorpe) on keyboards
Tish & Snooky (Manic Panic, Sic F*cks, Blondie) on backing vocals.

Two Jokers In A Pack was recorded at Saltlands Recording Studio in Brooklyn during a record-breaking cold New York winter. and was produced by the group's very own Don Piper.

Pete Kennedy (The Kennedys, Nanci Griffith) mastered the EP at Rogers' home studio.

A very special thank you to Melani Rogers, Susan Wamsley, Laura Poe and Susan Harley for all their help, love and support.
